Sacramento Symphonic Winds Return to Bands Director: Les Lehr Url: http://www.sacwinds.org/ Email: llehr@sbcglobal.net BandDescription: The "Sacramento Symphonic Winds" is an all volunteer 60-piece wind ensemble.  The organization consists of accomplished musicians from the Sacramento, Woodland, Davis and Sierra Nevada Foothill area who have various backgrounds in the musical arts.  Many members of the ensemble are professional musicians and/or music educators. Other members are from different professions such as Medical Doctors, Attorneys, Engineers, Financial Advisors, Salespersons, Music Students, Domestic Engineers, and Retirees to name a few.  No matter the job, all share the common love of creating fine ensemble music to the delight of their audiences and themselves. The orchestra plays at many different venues and performs a wide variety of music -  from patriotic to pops to rock'n roll and, of course, classical wind band music at its finest.  The group is organized under the direction of its Charter Conductor, Dr. Les Lehr and its Board of Directors.
